My normal rating would be five stars. We are self isolating due to clinical vulnerability and have had a weekly delivery since the pandemic started having been regular Waitrose customers for years. I was really annoyed to find out my free newspaper had been curbed without notice and the meaningless offer to change my slot this week when none are available. I have had the same 12.00 to 1.00 pm slot and always received my paper. I have had good service firstly fromSt Neots and now Rushden who make our delivery. Staff always polite and helpful. My annoyance is aggravated by no notice of this and makes me conclude this is just a dressed up cost cutting exercise. I just feel that this has been very poorly managed without considering the impact on the customer experience.

Four months ago Waitrose damaged my property with one of their delivery fans, disregarding two warning signs showing a height limit. Despite making numerous phone calls and sending emails, I have had no response from Waitrose. Appalling customer service.

Stopped eating chocolate but decided to treat myself to a bar of Waitrosedark Belgian chocolate with hazelnutsand sultanas when I had an onlinedelivery. The chocolate itself was Beautiful and excellent quality, but there were hardly any nuts and I couldn’t find onesultana.Given 4 stars as chocolate was such good quality.More nuts, and definately some sultanas please!

On line shopping failure. Having had my order for over a week, awaiting delivery slot, Waitrose failed to stock the missing items. They sent a van a considerable distance to deliver 6 small items. 30 packs of a second item were simply missing. Delivery driver unaware of any problem. This is a crazy waste of fuel, pollution, and my time. They had over a week to either get stock in, or offer cancellation. This is the second time this has happened ...NEVER again.Edit: Found an email from Waitrose dated early the same morning (the delivery was due at 10am). It did state the items were missing. Still... this system is annoying and wasteful. Why not contact the customer and say: "We don't have stock of the item you ordered. Would you prefer to postpone delivery until we can re-stock, cancel, or take the short delivery?"

Thought I would order online save going out. Lots of items was different from what I ordered and a lot of things did not turn up.. Will have to go out shopping now.

Recieved my christmas order this am 12 substitutions13 unavailable items So angry , and distressed, absoloutly no recompess from waitrose except a email saying ,"sorry you had some concerns about your order " here is the repayment for returned substutions I SHALL NOT BE GOING BACK I have friends telling me how wonderful Morrisons and Tesco are So much for service and value from Waitrose

Disgusted when told I couldn’t have any help from delivery ! I’d have to load products myself when physically cannot do so ! No help whatsoever from customer service or management either this company is vile to treat people with disabilities with such utter contempt. . Nothing to do with entering property .

Quite expensive items but I guess that comes in handy when you have to spend £60 before you can get delivery. Its quite annoying when they substitute foods with really different things, like when you want an Indian curry but they replace it with a Chinese chow mein or they replace apples with cucumbers.

I'm impressed that all the people reviewing Waitrose Click and Collect and Delivery services actually managed to get a slot for either service. I have tried many times to get a slot for either service (Portishead store) but they are always fully booked - so back to Sainsburys again!

I have been shopping at Waitrose in Poynton for years. I always spend far more than I would elsewhere but, apart from a few bad experiences in the past, I was prepared to pay the extra for customer service.Today we decided to use the self service scanner to avoid a long wait at the checkout ( there are never enough staff on to check customers through quickly anymore). In fairness, we do not find the scanner easy to use and it completely takes away the pleasure of shopping. I had kept a pack of broccoli in my hand because we could not scan it. The first insult was at the fish counter when I was told that the very expensive fish I wanted would be 20% cheaper if I came back tomorrow! I explained that we have to drive about 8 miles taking at least 30 minutes each way and I wasn’t going to come again the next day. We eventually got to the checkout and had to wait for someone to help us. We are an older couple but we are not senile. The woman who arrived did not know what she was doing and clearly undergoing training on the job so we had to wait whilst she went to find someone to help her. This went back and forth for about 4 minutes. The brusque supervisor then arrived and said that everything in our trolley would have to be scanned ( we had bought over £100 of food). I was livid. The implication was that we had “forgotten” to scan an item! Even if we had, we are not thieves. I have NEVER stolen anything in my life and if something had not scanned this was accidental.Waitrose has got this all wrong. If you expect customers to go through all the hassle of self service and pay a premium for the goods, there has to be trust. If you are not prepared to do this pay enough workers to serve the tills which we would much prefer anyway.I chose to leave. I emptied all my bags and left the £12 of fresh fish. On the way out I asked to see a Manager and was told it “should” be possible to find one. At this, I walked out. The impression I got was that no one really cared. I actually said you don’t even know who I am to contact me.I have always known that I am being conned at Waitrose. The chocolate I like had gone up 30pence a bar. The packaging is ridiculous. None of the pricing is consistent and the checkouts just get busier. I am not the only person who does not want to be “forced” to use self service because of the queues.I will not be returning. I shall shop locally and save myself a fortune and buy my own newspaper which was the only enticement left. Waitrose has lost the plot.

I booked Waitrose grocery a few times now and I love it!Always in time and fresh itemsIn one occasion they were late and they called me to apologize, however the delivery was made on that day

I have found shopping with Waitrose a more pleasant experience than the other supermarkets. They take more care with delivery and keep a good distance at the door due to the virus. Their online substitution Guarantee is much fairer than the other supermarkets. The essential range is brilliant and much of their own brand items take me back to my childhood. I really feel the quality of their food and higher animal welfare standards behind their meat and dairy products is excellent and I’m usually quite critical especially when it come to grocery shopping. Well done Waitrose, you will always come highly recommended from me . And Thankyou to all of your staff that are still working so hard through the coronavirus pandemic. I hope you get a good bonus !!! Cheers
